University of Hertfordshire -v- University of Canterbury

The Hertfordshire Hurricanes increased their lead at the top of the SEC with a convincing 63-6 win against Canturbury Chargers.
Quarterback Joe Thompson threw four touchdown passes, bringing his total to fourteen in just the first three games of the season. Second-year receiver, Nick Bagnall led the receiving with six catches for 91 yards and 2 TDs. Veteran, Dominic Husbands had four catches and a touchdown and rookie receivers Peter Faulkner and Andy Harris both grabbed their first career score, the later from rookie QB Brandon Slieker recording his first career score as well.

On the gound, veteran runners Temi Odeyimi and James Howell both got on the scoreboard and were joined by rookie rusher Edward Enearu who carried twice for 22 yards and a touchdown.
The Hurricanes defense was led by oustanding perfomances from Emmanual Olakotan (5 tackles, 4 sacks); defensive captain Dominic Gould (4 tackles); and rising stars George Gower and Aaron Olegbegi (four tackles and a forced fumble, three tackles and an interception, respectively). Cornerback Stef Rivera added the Hurricanes other score on a 30 yard interception return. The level of talent available to the Hurricanes defense is highlighted by the fact that only one of the starting eleven players was a final-year student and four are actually in their first-year with the team. Stefan Rivera further demonstrated his personal talents by converting all nine point-after-try kicks.
Canturbury got on the scoresheet late in the fourth quarter after a long catch and run led to a short scoring reception in the endzone.
